Travel Weeklys Home-based Agent E-letter: April 18, 2005

RADISSON SEVEN SEAS CRUISES invited the home-based agent community to begin using its new Partner Access online booking capability at www.rssc.com. The tool is designed to make booking cruises quicker and easier, and is part of a Web site update that includes a new look and simpler navigation, the line said. Creating an online booking system for agents is the next logical step in streamlining our booking operations while making the jobs of our respected agent partners easier, said Ken Watson, executive vice president of marketing and sales.

BY ENABLINGAGENTS to book their clients cruises electronically, Partner Access now enables retailers to avoid the initial phone call previously required to check availability and initiate a booking. Some operations, such as modifying back-to-back cruises or creating bookings for waitlisted sailings/categories, will still require a phone call. Partner Access does allow most special requests to be managed through the Web site, including those for cribs, some special meals, medical equipment and the celebration of special occasions. To sign up, agents enter the Travel Agent Center section of the site and complete an enrollment form. Agents can call the line at (800) 285-1835 for additional information.

TOUR DESK: TNT Vacations expanded its product line to include Ireland. Previously, it offered vacations only to Mexico and the Caribbean. Agent pay is 15% on land for bookings through June 30, negotiable afterwards, and 10% on air. Retailers can get more details by calling (888) GO-TNT-GO or visiting www.tntvacations.com.
