A NEW
CHAPTER of the Outside Sales Support Network is forming in
Massachusetts this year. The OSSNs Southeastern Massachusetts Area
Chapter is headed by Ellen Paderson, while the existing Cape Cod
and Rhode Island Chapter is run by Christine York. Paderson, who
owns Smiles and Miles Travel, in Easton, Mass., said the region
needs two chapters so that meetings convenient to members can be
more easily scheduled. Paderson said her chapter would draw members
from the south of Boston to the northern fringes of the state.
A GOOD
MIDWAY meeting point, she said, will enable more agents to
attend and to network with other industry professionals. Padersons
chapter met for the first time last week, in Dedham, Mass., and
will meet again March 1. Like other OSSN chapters, Paderson is
planning to bring in speakers and reps from major suppliers. I
would also like to have a rep from an insurance company to come in
and discuss their product. I am hoping by the end of January to
have at least a six-month schedule of meetings and speakers lined
up, said Paderson. Agents can learn more about the chapter by
e-mailing the director at [email protected].
