TRAVEL
INDUSTRY EDUCATORS Doris and Phil Davidoff will offer
their seminar, Group$=Profit$, on a one-week western Mediterranean
cruise, July 28 to Aug. 4. Space is available for a limited number
of travel agents and their guests. The seminar is designed for
travel agency owners, managers, sales agents and home-based travel
agents who want to develop, sell and operate group cruises and
tours, secure unique groups at profitable rates that cannot be
shopped from agency to agency and set up systems to assure
efficient operations and profitability.
THE
CRUISE, aboard Louis Cruise Lines Coral, is roundtrip from
Barcelona. Seminars will be held during time at sea. A Sterling
Vacations English-speaking escort will be on board. The Davidoffs
are veteran agents and educators, well known in the industry for
more than 30 years. Cruise fares, which cover the seminars, start
at $849 per person, double. Visit Davidoff Associates Web site, www.davidoffassociates.com, for information and to
register. The Davidoffs can be reached by e-mail at [email protected] or by phone, (800)
754-3170.
EDUCATION
UPDATE: IATAs plan to test travel agents before issuing
its sought-after ID cards appears to be dead following a meeting of
the Iatan board, an advisory group to IATAs agency program in the
U.S. Iatans agent ID cards are widely accepted for fams and
supplier upgrades. The board told IATA that the project was too
complex and a possible waste of resources. Agents had criticized
the proposal.
