GLOBUS, the National Association of
Commissioned Travel Agents (NACTA), the Network of Entrepreneurs
Selling Travel (NEST) and Royal Caribbean
International Celebrity Cruises are
rolling out a second tour of their educational program called the
Home Based Success Series. The tour, which was launched in August,
will visit five cities this month, with two ships serving as
training venues for the series. Agents can expect three hours of
intensive workshops delivering product information, insider group
tips, effective/cost-efficient group sales and marketing
strategies, and an overview of Web and technology resources.
AGENTS can attend the program in Bayonne,
N.J., Oct. 17, aboard the Constellation; Hartford, Conn., Oct. 18,
at the Hartford Marriott Rocky
Hill; Atlanta, Oct. 19, at the
Westin Atlanta North at Perimeter; Fort Lauderdale, Oct. 20, aboard the Enchantment of
the Seas; or Tampa, Oct. 21, at the Grand
Hyatt Tampa Bay. The cost is $15 and
covers breakfast or lunch, depending on location. Joanie Ogg, NACTA
president, said retailers who participated in the August programs
gave the series an overwhelming thumbs up.
GLOBUS home-based business consultant,
Alleigh Greir, said at-home retailers are priceless partners, who
on average sell more than four group tours each year. Stuart Cohen,
senior vice president of NEST, added that the October programs will
offer an enhanced module on seeking out group business and
maximizing profits. Details are online at www.nacta.com.
GARY
FEE, president of the Outside Sales Support Network
(OSSN), will address the networks Palm Beach, Fla., members at a
meeting in Boynton Beach Oct. 20. The free event starts at 7 p.m.
at the Hampton Inn Suites of Boynton Beach. For details and to
