LAS VEGAS GRAND CANYON TOURS expanded its offerings to include an (almost) free bus tour to the Primm Valley/State Line area. The eight-hour excursion departs at 8:30 a.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays from Las Vegas and includes a buffet lunch at Buffalo Bills Hotel Casino. VISITORS to the Shops in Desert Passage at the Aladdin Hotel and Casino can vie to win tickets to Fab Four Mania! by trying to get the Buckingham guard in front of the V Theater to crack a smile or register another reaction, such as flinching, smirking or coughing. Baffle the Buckingham Guard can be played from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays -- and believe it or not, there are rules. Each contestant is given 10 seconds to perform whatever antics, jokes or actions he believes will get the guard to let down his guard. Once a person is awarded a show ticket, he cannot compete again. A V Theater representative will be on hand to judge winners and award them with a ticket voucher. For the safety of the guard, any physical contact is prohibited and will result in immediate disqualification.

THE SHOPS in Desert Passage, meanwhile, will add a Greek restaurant to the menu of eateries this fall. Taverna Opa, slated to open in October, will offer traditional Greek favorites such as spanokopita, stuffed grape leaves, souvlaki, moussaka and baklava.
