Travel Weeklys Mexico E-letter: June 28, 2006

YOU COULD SAY the One&Only Palmilla Resort in Los Cabos is revving up its airport transportation service. The luxury, 172-room resort added several Mercedes-Benz GL450 luxury sport utility vehicles to its already impressive fleet of upscale people movers used to transport guests between the airport and the resort. The new Mercedes is the German automakers first full-size luxury SUV, with room for seven passengers. In addition to the Mercedes, One&Onlys fleet includes the Hummer H2 and the Land Rover. No matter the vehicle, guests are greeted at the airport, assisted with their bags and offered a number of amenities once inside the vehicle, including chilled, bottled water; scented towels; and a built-in entertainment system. Among other things, rooms will receive raised platform beds with Egyptian cotton bedding, Jacuzzi bathtubs and walk-in, marble showers.
