TAIPEI, Taiwan -- The
observation deck on the 89th floor of Taiwans new skyscraper,
Taipei 101, opened Jan. 19.
building, which opened Dec. 31, is the worlds tallest, 184 feet
taller than the previous record-holders, the Petronas Towers in
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Taipei 101s owners
say the skyscraper will attract 1 million visitors a year and
become Taiwans top tourist attraction.
Tourists will pay
about $11 to ride to the observation platform.
