KLM, Martinair and American will install self-service check-in kiosks at Queen Beatrix International Airport in Aruba.

Aruba's airport will be the first in the Caribbean to be equipped with these machines.

American has ordered four machines for the non-U.S. check-in area and plans to install similar kiosks in the U.S. check-in area. The airport said other U.S. airlines have expressed interest.

At a later date, the airport intends to launch a pilot program with a limited number of hotels, placing self-service check-in kiosks in hotel lobbies, in an effort to reduce lines at the airport.
