Barbados unveiled its first Hotel
Guidebook, which showcases 50 AAA-rated island properties and
another 13 which are pending inspection. The 98-page guidebook, an
initiative of the Barbados Tourism Authority, also has information
on attractions and activities.
Noel Lynch,
minister of tourism and international transport, said that "the AAA
seal of approval will ensure that the island's accommodations
sector will meet visitors' particular standards of quality, whether
on the budget end or the high end of the hospitality
scale."
Barbados also has
the first Zagat-rated hotel guide in the Caribbean, which was
introduced last year.
