The Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority launched the Beach
Bar Trail, which invites visitors to explore the beach bars that dot many of
Antigua's 365 beaches.
A trail map highlights hot spots, party bars and hidden
hangouts that only locals know about. Visitors can hop from bar to bar,
sampling West Indian specialties such as conch fritters at Turners near St. John's,
curry goat at Dennis' on Ffryes Beach, seasonal produce from local farmers at
Jacqui O's on Love Beach and tapas at Sheer Rocks near St. Mary's.
Artwork is on exhibit at Ana's on Dickenson Bay, beach
volleyball is on tap at Miller's on Fort James Beach and live bands are
headlined at Castaways on South Beach.
Over on Barbuda, Uncle Roddy serves local lobster at his
solar-powered restaurant.
