Bonaire's tourism industry is participating in Paradise Rebates, a program designed to help travelers recoup the cost of airline baggage fees with online rebates and coupons.

The program, which was conceived by Bonairean company NetTech and was then adopted by the island's tourism industry, allows visitors to download and print coupons for use on Bonaire or use their baggage receipts to redeem rebates.

The coupons and rebates are good against the purchase of retail products and services such as dining, accommodations, activities and vehicle rentals.

"This effort demonstrates the truth behind our tagline 'Once a Visitor, Always a Friend,' and reveals our willingness to do what it takes to keep our loyal visitors coming back," said Ronella Tjin Asjoe-Croes, director of Tourism Corporation Bonaire.

Participating companies include Dive Friends Bonaire, Sun Rentals, Paradise Rentals, Buenos Aires Cafe, Golden Reef Inn, Coco Palm Garden/Casa Oleander, Mangrove Info Center, Bencho Car Rental, Caribbean Club Bonaire and AB Car Rental.
