The Jalousie Plantation, Sugar Beach in St. Lucia opened its eight new beachfront bungalows, the latest component of the resort’s multimillion-dollar enhancement.
The resort will rebrand and relaunch later this year as Sugar Beach, a Viceroy Resort.
The bungalows (two have the option of a two-bedroom floor plan) feature contemporary décor, hardwood floors, high ceilings and custom white furniture. The exteriors have thatched roofs and white-washed adobe walls. Each offers a shade area with lounges, table and chairs and a courtyard with a Jacuzzi.
As with all accommodations at Jalousie, the bungalows feature butler service and complimentary WiFi.
Bungalow rates through April start at $1,200 per night, double, excluding tax and service. Prices drop to $1,100 a night in May and to $1,000 a night from June 1 through Oct. 15.
Other recent additions at Jalousie include two new bars, two new restaurants and the Rainforest Spa with tree house treatment rooms.
