After 14 months on the job, Jeffrey Vasser has resigned as
CEO and director general of the Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Association.
"The parting is a mutual and amicable decision between
CHTA and Vasser," said Emil Lee, CHTA president. "We have already
begun the process of vetting a replacement.”
Lee said he hoped to make the announcement of a new CEO
prior to CHTA's annual Travel Marketplace, Jan. 28-30 in San Juan.
Vasser joined CHTA in November 2013 after serving as
president of the Atlantic City Convention & Visitors Authority. He replaced
Alec Sanguinetti, who retired after 19 years with CHTA.
Founded in 1962, CHTA represents more than 600 individual
hotel members and more than 300 allied members.
