Discover Puerto Rico has launched a travel advisor commission program, highlighting certain properties where advisors will be paid a special commission for a limited time.
Under the program, advisors will be eligible for commissions of 12% to 15% on minimum stays of four nights, with defined travel dates.
The destination marketing organization will regularly update its website with participating properties. Advisors are asked to contact the properties via email for details, reservations, conditions and booking and travel widows.
As of Friday, the participating properties were the Hyatt Regency Grand Reserve ([email protected]), the Rincon Beach Resort ([email protected]), the InterContinental San Juan ([email protected]), the Copamarina Beach Resort & Spa ([email protected]) and the Fairmont El San Juan ([email protected]).
Beginning July 15, travelers arriving in Puerto Rico must complete a travel declaration form and show a negative molecular Covid-19 test result taken 72 hours prior to arrival. Travelers without a negative test will be offered a rapid test at the airport; even if that test is negative, they will be required to quarantine for 14 days and cover their own medical and stay expenses. Quarantine is mandatory until a traveler provides a negative molecular test taken on the island.
Face coverings are mandatory at airports and in public, and an islandwide curfew from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. is in place through July 22.
