The number of visitors to Cuba through July topped 2 million, 5.3% higher than the same period in 2011, according to the Cuba Ministry of Tourism.
Canada continues to be the largest source market, followed by the U.K., Argentina, France, Italy, Germany, Russia, Spain and Mexico.
The country is on track to reach its goal of 2.9 million foreign visitors in 2012, up from the record 2.7 million in 2011.
Tourism revenues in 2011 totaled $2.5 billion, up 12.8% over 2010.
