The all-inclusive Curtain Bluff Resort in Antigua is launching a series of tennis events, which offers guests an opportunity to test their game skills with the pros on the resort's four courts.
The Curtain Bluff Tennis Circuit kicks off next month with the resort's Tennis Challenge Nov. 1 through 8, the first of three events for the 2012/2013 season.
During the Tennis Challenge, top players from the U.S., such as former Davis Cup winner Dick Stockton and former Grand Slam champion Gene Mayer, team up with Curtain Bluff's tennis pros for a week of clinics, guest doubles and pro-am play. All-inclusive rates start at $745 per night, double, exclusive of tax and service charges.
The Curtain Bluff Fantasy Tennis Camp, April 29 to May 3, is designed for adult tennis players ranging in skill from recreational to tournament level and will include five days of pro instruction and match play with former U.S. Open champion Tracy Austin, two-time Australian Open champion Johann Kriek and former pro Taylor Dent. Rates start at $855 per night, double.
Headliner at Antigua Tennis Week at Curtain Bluff, May 11 to 18, is International Tennis Hall of Famer "Fiery" Fred Stolle, winner of 18 Grand Slam titles. Joining him will be Aussie champions Ross Case and Owen Davidson.
The event began in 1975 as an island-wide pro tournament and has evolved into an international pro-am tennis festival that attracts some of the biggest names in the game. Rates start at $700 per night, double.
