Antigua police arrested eight men on Aug. 15 in connection with the double murder of honeymoon couple Ben and Catherine Mullany on July 27 at the Cocos Hotel.
The men, who police described as in their 20s, are in custody and being questioned, according to Inspector Cornelius Charles.
The men were picked up in a series of raids after police got a number of leads from two women who were arrested on Aug. 14 in connection with the crime. The women, ages 22 and 32, remain in custody although they have not been charged with the murders, according to the police.
