Shawn Crockwell, former minister of tourism development and
transport for Bermuda from 2013 until he resigned from the post over the
island’s immigration policy in March 2016, was found dead at his home on June
Crockwell was 47 years old.
Police said there was no suspicion of foul play, although an
official inquiry is underway, according to the Royal Gazette newspaper.
Crockwell quit his cabinet post last year, citing a loss of confidence
in the One Party Alliance under Premier Michael Dunkley.
He left the party in July 2016 and became an independent.
