Tony Abrahams, Jamaica’s former minister of tourism, died Aug. 7 at his home in Montego Bay.

Abrahams served as director of tourism from 1970 to 1974 and later as minister of tourism and information from 1980 to 1985. He was a member of Parliament from 1980 to 1989.

Abrahams later founded the Radio Club, a morning radio talk show concerned with political and social issues.
