Grand Cayman to expand airport to accommodate 777 aircraft

An expansion of the Owen Roberts International Airport in Grand Cayman, which will enable the facility to accommodate 777 aircraft, is set for completion by October 2008, according to the Cayman Islands Airport Authority.

Construction, scheduled to get underway by the end of 2006, will include an expansion of the parking areas, new roadways, passenger boarding bridges and terminals for arriving and departing domestic and international passengers.
