The Guadeloupe Islands Tourist Board, which established a presence in the U.S. last year, will launch an online advertising campaign, “Let Me Show You My Islands,” on June 4.

The campaign features model Willy Monfret as the spokesman for the island group. Monfret was born in France but has roots in Guadeloupe.

He appears in each of a series of five film clips that will be rolled out over the summer, according to Sandra Venite, marketing coordinator for the tourist board’s New York office.

She said the advertising campaign complements improvements in air service to Guadeloupe, increasing the chances of raising visibility and hosting more American visitors.

In April, American Airlines launched nonstop weekly services from Miami. On June 1, Seaborne Airlines will launch a new route from San Juan to Guadeloupe. Seaborne is a codeshare partner with American.
