Sunrise Airways, a start-up airline based in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, will launch daily scheduled service between Cap Haitien and Providenciales, Turks and Caicos, on Aug. 26.
The new route is the first international service for the airline.
"Haiti is moving forward, and Sunrise Airways right along with it," said Philippe Bayard, president. "We can take pride in the type of professional airline we're building from the ground up here in Haiti to enhance air travel options throughout the region."
The 40-minute flight will depart Cap Haitien at 8:10 a.m. and Providenciales at 9:15 a.m.
Connecting service will be available from Port-au-Prince with two early-morning departures feeding into the flight from Cap Haitien to Providenciales.
Sunrise will use 19-seat Jetstream 32 EP aircraft on the new route.
