Eleven Sol Melia hotels joined the Preferred Hotel Group, a worldwide sales solutions provider to more than 750 hotels and resorts. Sol Melia said the affiliation will reinforce the company's strategic positioning in international markets in which the Preferred Hotel Group has been working for 40 years.
Sol Melia has added two hotels from its Melia brand, three from its ME by Melia brand and six from Gran Melia, the company's flagship luxury brand. All of the properties met the standards set by the Preferred Hotel Group related to location, architecture, interior and exterior design, facilities, technological equipment and food and beverage services.

• The St. Regis Bora Bora rolled out a promotion that offers half board with any booking of the resort's premier category rooms through May. The premier categories are Premier Overwater Villas, Private Oceanfront Villas, Royal Overwater Villas and Royal Oceanfront Villas. Built in 1972, expanded in 1984 and remodeled in 2005, the Sheraton Delfina Santa Monica Hotel is a boutique-style property located within blocks of Santa Monica's attractions and offers views of the Pacific Ocean. Its meetings and event space totals more than 10,000 square feet. It also has a heated outdoor swimming pool with food and beverage service, a restaurant, cafe and lobby lounge, and free business and fitness centers.
