InsightResorts looking to amp up their fitness offerings should take a look at what Jolly Beach Resort & Spa in Antigua has in store as a workout for their guests. It’s several notches above sit-ups and stretches.

GayNagleMyersThe all-inclusive resort partnered with Antigua’s Insane Boot Camp to offer a five-day Insane Body Beach package, part of the resort’s new “Get Into the Beach of It” fitness program. According to the resort, guests will be challenged to “kick-start or bump up their health and fitness efforts … embrace aches and pains and come back for more.”

The program launches April 25 to 29 and will be repeated Aug. 2 to 8 and Nov. 15 to 19. The air/land all-inclusive package, offered through Travel Impressions, is priced at $1,608 per person, double, including air on American from New York Kennedy, and at $1,685 from Miami. Prices do not include baggage fees; ticketing must be completed within three days of reservations and at least 14 days before departure.

Jolly Beach Boot CampThe camp itself requires a registration fee of $150 per guest, payable to the hotel directly. The fee includes the fitness program, a boot camp shirt and water bottle, welcome cocktail and a 30-minute massage.

Boot camp workouts include socarobics, a blend of basic exercise movements mixed with soca music on the beach; agility drills; abdominal toning; a 12-mile hike to Mount Obama, Antigua’s highest point; and a 10-mile hike to Shirley Heights.
