Orlando-based tour operator Mauiva has introduced a commissionable, seven-day package that combines travel by private plane with resort overnights in Grand Bahama, the Cayman Islands and Cancun.
The operator, which currently offers one-hour aerial tours of Orlando as well as weeklong vacation packages in the U.S., offers frequent departures beginning Sept. 22 on its Sun & Fun Experience package, described as “a sampling of the best sun-soaked destinations in the Caribbean at an extremely attractive price point,” according to Lauren Volcheff, vice president of marketing.
Packages are priced from $1,999 per person, double for the comprehensive plan, which includes flights, accommodations, meals and attractions; a second rate, from $1,449 per person, double, covers flights and accommodations only.
The prices do not include customs and associated fees of $162 per person.
Agent commission is 10%.
Mauiva flies the Embraer 120 Brasilia prop plane, which carries 30 passengers and a crew of four, including a flight attendant.
The itinerary includes two nights each in the three destinations with accommodations at the Grand Lucayan in Grand Bahama and “four-star resorts in Grand Cayman and Cancun. Contracts are being finalized now,” according to a spokesman.
Activities include a Jeep tour, snorkeling, a karaoke party and bonfire in Grand Bahama; a catamaran sail and a reef tour in Grand Cayman; and excursions to Xplor adventure park and Chichen Itza in Cancun.
