Jamaica tees off with Pro-Am golf tournament this fall

NEW YORK -- Star-studded golf action will again play out on Jamaican greenways this fall with the return of the Celebrity Players Tour Jamaica Classic to three top-end Montego Bay resorts this Nov. 10 to 14.

The Celebrity Players Tour (CPT) -- held since 1990 to provide a competitive outlet for athletes and entertainers, while raising money for charity -- first visited Jamaica, its only Caribbean island venue, last year. More than 60 celebrities are expected to compete at this years event, to be held at the Half Moon Golf Club, the Cinnamon Hill Golf Club at Wyndham Rose Hall, and the White Witch Golf Course at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort and Spa.

Air Jamaica Vacations and Liberty Travel are offering four-night packages to the tournament, which include deluxe accommodations at one of the three resorts; invitations to the star-studded Pairings Party and the Friday evening gala dinner; two full days of Pro-Am golf with celebrities, including cart, caddy, lunch and entertainment; and roundtrip on-island airport-hotel transfers. Pricing starts at $2,412.50 per person, land only, based on double occupancy; discounted air on Air Jamaica is available for tournament participants.

For more, call the CPT hotline at (888) 852-4278, Air Jamaica Vacations at (800) 622-1945 or Liberty Travel at (877) 542-3789.
