Insight logoWorld-weary clients asking about a winter getaway might cotton to the idea of a vacation that features healing-arts elements. Travel Impressions came up with what sounds like a winner, at a Jamaica resort, and is paying a 1% bonus commission for reservations booked on its website.

The firm, which welcomes bookings from home-based agents who have Iatan credentials, is offering a four-night A New Year, A New You Retreat at Royal Plantation in Ocho Rios from Jan. 7 to 11.

The trip focuses on self-help strategies such as a daily, guided meditation; sunrise yoga on the beach; and a dance yoga program. There's also a "self-reflection in nature" hike plus introductory instruction in Ayurveda, the healing art and science that emerged alongside yoga in ancient India.

A $200 spa credit comes with the package, as does a menu that includes vegan options.

Kim Valeri, a yoga teacher, spiritual counselor and founder of YogaSpirit Studios, and Josh Immel, creator of Joyful Belly, the first online tool to manage an Ayurvedic diet, will lead the retreat.

Rates, land only, are based on accommodation level, starting at $1,499 per person in a Deluxe Oceanfront Junior Suite; $1,799 per person in a Premium Oceanfront Junior Suite; and $2,099 per person, per room in a Luxury Oceanfront Junior Suite.
