obama162x120Obamamania is alive and well on Martinique, where the city of Le Diamant renamed a street in honor of President Obama.

Rue Obama extends from the heart of the coastal city to the sea and measures 144 meters for the 44th U.S. president.

"In Martinique, as in other communities around the world that boast a predominately African heritage, we are proud and excited by Obama’s victory," said Muriel Wiltord of the Martinique Promotion Bureau.
