Cayman Airways revealed plans to launch a weekly nonstop flight from Austin, Texas, to Grand Cayman next month. Subject to regulatory approval, the seasonal route will operate on Sundays from May 24 to Aug. 16.
"Austin has emerged as a strong and growing source market for the Cayman Islands, with steady increases in visitor arrivals over recent years, despite the absence of nonstop flights," said Paul Tibbetts, executive vice president for commercial affairs and CFO for Cayman Airways. "We're excited to be the first airline to blaze this new trail for the Cayman Islands."
