Peter Island Resort & Spa in the British Virgin Islands increased its yacht transfer schedule to four days a week between the airport in St. Thomas and the resort.

The transfers are available Fridays through Sundays and on Tuesdays for all flights arriving in St. Thomas prior to 3 p.m. for the 3:30 p.m. yacht departure.

The roundtrip transfer price of $199 per person includes check-in at the Tropic Tours counter at the airport in St. Thomas for a 10-minute taxi to downtown Charlotte Amalie, where the 45-foot Doral sport yacht is docked.

Guests arriving in St. Thomas earlier in the day can stow their luggage aboard the yacht prior to departure.

The transfer takes an hour and a half. The air-conditioned yacht has indoor and outdoor seating; refreshments are served during the boat ride.

The yacht makes a brief stop at West End Tortola, BVI for onboard customs and clearance.

Departure from the resort is at 8:30 a.m. with a stop in St. John for customs clearance. Guests must disembark for clearance and then reboard to continue to Charlotte Amalie.

Tropic Tours transports guests to the airport. Guests with flights later in the day can leave luggage aboard to explore St. Thomas before heading to the airport.

Reservations must be made in advance at (800) 346-4451 or by email at [email protected]

Resort guests arriving on other days can arrange private boat transfers with Peter Island's reservations office.
