Ambergris Cay, a three-mile-long private-island resort located at the southern end of the Turks and Caicos archipelago, opened last month.

The property features 10 beachfront suites with private plunge pools as well as a restaurant, spa, pool and bar area, watersports, use of golf carts and bikes, a club house and personal butler service.

The resort includes transfers on its private plane for the 18-minute flight from Providenciales Airport, said Kevin Matier, director of sales and marketing for the Turks and Caicos Collection, which manages Ambergris Cay and three other resort properties in Turks and Caicos.

Ambergris Cay resort is phase one of a larger development, which will also include a villa rental program.

Rack rates at the resort start at $6,000 per night.
