Hotel Le Toiny, a Relais & Chateaux resort on St. Barts' southeastern coast, is closed until Nov. 1 for extensive renovations to its 15 oceanview villa suites and public spaces, including the restaurant, lobby, library and open-air bar.
The open-air bar will be inlaid with oyster shells. An outdoor seating area serving champagne will be added to the restaurant’s reception area.
Also new will be the Toiny Beach Club, which will be open to the public and will be accessible via private beach path or the hotel shuttle. The menu will include wine, cocktails and cuisine from the hotel’s restaurant. The beach club will be incorporated around two historical cottages that were constructed by the island’s pioneering Ledee family in the late 18th century.
The outdoor space also will include an open-air amphitheater, coconut grove, tamarind field, garden and orchard.
