Wildland Adventures is offering a people-to-people Cuba tour that focuses on the role of music and art in the lives of the Cuban people.

The nine-day "Adventure Cuba: Art, Music & Dance" departs Nov. 10 and visits various sites in Havana, Cienfuegos and Trinidad that include community centers, performance stages, concert halls, private homes, farmers markets, ration stores, gardens and museums.

Some meals are eaten with artists and scholars.

"Music and revolution go hand in hand in Cuba as music in many aspects is a representation of the revolution," said Wildland Adventures CEO Kurt Kutay. "We've chosen a variety of artists and a range of both musicians and performance venues. Our travelers will have opportunities for open-ended conversations with Cubans in private audience settings."

Accommodations are in private homes and in the Hotel Nacional in Havana.

For groups between 12 and 14 participants, the rate is $5,800 per person, double. The rate drops by $200 for groups between 15 and 18 participants.

Wildland Adventures has five additional programs to Cuba ranging from five to 11 days in length with a focus on Cuba's heartland, Havana, the national parks, kayaking and a coast-to-coast itinerary.
