For travelers with deep pockets who may be uncomfortable flying commercial air during the Covid crisis, Rosewood Little Dix Bay on Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands is launching a partnership with Tropic Ocean Airways and its concierge service Volo Travel.

The service will enable guests departing from several locations to arrive at Virgin Gorda via private or semi-private aircraft.

The British Virgin Islands is scheduled to reopen to international travelers on Dec. 1.

Travelers will fly via the private jet to San Juan and then take a private seaplane to Virgin Gorda.

Sample one-way rates for eight passengers from Fort Lauderdale to San Juan are $20,000 for the jet, $3,450 for the seaplane; from New York, $24,000 and $3,450, respectively; and from Houston or Chicago, $26,000 and $3,450, respectively.
