AMA Waterways said the Amadolce, its sixth river cruise ship, predominantly will serve the Australian market.
Australia Pacific Touring, an operator that owns a piece of AMA, has chartered the vessel for most of 2009.
The Amadolce will be sail the 16-day Magnificent Europe cruise from Amsterdam to Budapest and the 11-day Christmas Time Cruise from Prague to Budapest.
With the launch of the Amadolce, AMA has reached its previously stated goal of building six ships over the last three years. The 148-passenger Amadolce was christened on May 20, six weeks after its sister vessel, the Amalyra, was christened.
Like all AMA ships, the Amadolce offers complimentary Wi-Fi; 170-square foot cabins (82% of which have French balconies); down duvets; flat-screen TVs; and marble-appointed bathrooms. Wine is free with meals, served in the ship’s restaurant.
Each AMA vessel also features a fitness center, beauty salon, whirlpool, walking track on the top deck and bicycles for passengers.
