French Country Waterways in early April will begin barge cruises aboard the 12-passenger Adrienne, departing every Sunday from Strasbourg, France.

The vessel, decorated in the style of a Paris boutique hotel, will travel to the Alsace and Lorraine regions on seven-night sailings through July 2.

Highlights of the itinerary include a walking tour of the historical quarter in Strasbourg, dinner ashore at the Michelin-starred Le Cerf in Marlenheim, a visit to the 13th century chapel of the Cordeliers and a stop in Place Stanislas, considered one of the grandest squares in France. Guests are escorted to and from Strasbourg via private motorcoach.

Onboard, chefs use fresh foods bought at local markets and bakeries, and four-course dinners are accompanied by Grand Cru and Premier Cru wines from Burgundy and other major French wine regions. The crew is fluent in French and English.

The barge contains six suites with king-size beds. Cruise fares range from $5,295 to $6,295 per person, double. From July through October, the Adrienne sails in Champagne.
