American Cruise Lines plans Alaska sailings

FORT LAUDERDALE — American Cruise Lines will enter the Alaska market with seven- to 11-night cruises beginning in summer 2012.

The line announced the new destination on Friday during CLIA’s Cruise3sixty event.

Several Alaska itineraries will be rolled out, including roundtrip cruises from Juneau and one-way cruises between Juneau and Seattle. 

American Cruise Lines didn't disclose which ship would operate in Alaska.
