Atlas Ocean Voyages is offering new protections for some spring and summer cruise bookings after seeing demand soften since the start of the Iran war.
Guests booking voyages in Northern Europe, the Mediterranean or the Arctic may now cancel for any reason up to 15 days before departure and receive a future cruise credit. The policy only applies to bookings made between April 20 and May 15, and for cruises through Aug. 31.
The cruise credit will be equal to the fare paid and can be used on bookings made within 12 months for cruises through the end of 2027.
"Demand has been soft this summer since the Middle East conflict began, and we continue to see healthy momentum for 2027 and beyond," said a spokesperson for the cruise line. "High fuel prices and higher airline costs are definitely impacting interest in travel this year."
Earlier this month, Atlas announced a double air credit offer on certain Europe and Arctic sailings for this year. It called the new cancellation policy an "additional reassurance policy."
