Carnival Cruise Lines said the Friday sailing of the Elation has reverted to the Port of New Orleans, which has reopened to cruise ships after the passing of Hurricane Isaac.

Elation, originally set to do a four-night itinerary from Thursday through Monday both departing and arriving in New Orleans, was going to be moved to a three-night cruise departing Friday from Mobile.

Carnival said the cruise will still be a shortened-three day trip but won't go to Mobile, eliminating the need to bus passengers back and forth.

Embarkation for the modified three-day cruise will take place between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. at the Erato Street Cruise Terminal in New Orleans.

Those taking the shortened cruise will still qualify for a 50% refund and a 25% credit on a future three- to five-day cruise.
