Carnival Corp. said it will donate $2 million to four charities working to provide relief and help rebuild in New York and New Jersey after Hurricane Sandy.
The Robin Hood Relief Fund will receive $1 million, Habitat for Humanity International will receive $500,000, Save the Children will get $250,000 and the Mayor's Fund to Advance New York City — Hurricane Sandy Relief Efforts will receive $250,000.
"We are pleased to provide this financial support to those who were affected by the storm," Carnival Chairman Micky Arison said.
Carnival has made such donations in the past including in 2005, when it donated more than $7 million for recovery after one of the busiest storm seasons in history.
