The Carnival Miracle launched year-round Caribbean sailings from New York on Thursday, offering several new dining and entertainment options for Carnival Cruise Lines.
Making its Carnival debut is the Punchliner Comedy Club presented by George Lopez. The comedian serves as Carnival’s “curator of comedy,” acting as a consultant on the hiring of comedians.
The Punchliner Comedy Club will offer five 35-minute shows on multiple nights during each voyage. Later performances feature R-rated comedy.
Also, comedy will be a theme at a brunch held on sea days in the main dining room. The Punchliner Comedy Brunch is a free dining option that features five- to six-minute performances each hour.
The Taste Bar, featuring bite-size offerings, is being introduced on the Carnival Miracle. Fleetwide implementation is expected to be completed by summer 2013.
Complimentary menu items can be paired with a $5 cocktail. A sample item is roasted pork tacos with green chili salsa and aged cotija cheese, with a blue margarita.
The Taste Bar will be open from approximately 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on sea days and some port days, Carnival said.
