Carnival Cruise Line said it will offer a 14-night Alaska cruise roundtrip from Long Beach, Calif., next year, an unusually long itinerary for Carnival.
The cruise on the Carnival Miracle is set to depart Sept. 2 and will feature the line's first call at Icy Strait Point, the private destination near Juneau operated on behalf of the Tlingit Indian tribe.
The itinerary also includes a full-day sailing in Glacier Bay and stops in Alaska at Ketchikan, Skagway, Juneau and Sitka, as well as Vancouver on the return.
The majority of Carnival's cruises are less than 10 days but it has been offering longer, more varied itineraries under its Carnival Journeys program.
Its Alaska program in 2017 and 2018 also includes 38 voyages of either seven- or eight-days aboard the Carnival Legend.
