Carnival to sail first Norwegian fjords cruise next year

The 2,124-passenger Carnival Legend will operate Carnival Cruise Lines' first Norwegian fjords itinerary in 2013.

The 13-day fjords cruise will depart Sept. 1 and visit Alesund, Bergen, Stavanger, and Oslo, Norway; Hamburg; Amsterdam; Brussels; and Le Havre, France.

The Legend will sail from Dover, England, and also operate a series of cruises to Western Europe, the Baltic and the British Isles.

The ship will offer a total of 17 cruises between April 22 and Oct. 31, 2013, visiting 34 ports in 18 countries.

A cruise departing Sept. 13 will call at Stavanger, Norway; Edinburgh, Invergordon, and Glasgow, Scotland; Belfast, Northern Ireland; Dublin; and Le Havre.

Six Baltic cruises will be offered, visiting Copenhagen, Denmark; Berlin; Helsinki, Finland; St. Petersburg, Russia; Tallinn, Estonia; and Amsterdam. Departure dates are June 21; July 3, 15 and 27; and Aug. 8 and 20.

The Carnival Legend will sail several Mediterranean cruises from Venice to Barcelona, between April and October.
