Costa Cruises said the Costa Mediterranea
will be redeployed to Brazil for the winter 2008-2009 season,
joining the Costa Magica in the region.
Costa early this
month announced that it would reassign the Costa Mediterranea from
Fort Lauderdale where it sailed a Caribbean route, following the
winter 2007-2008 season. At the time, Costa did not reveal the new
location but said that the ship would be placed in "a different key
core market, allowing Costa to reinforce its strategic global
