Costa, Singapore Tourism Board form marketing partnership

Costa Cruises said that it has formed a global strategic marketing partnership with the Singapore Tourism Board.

Under the agreement, Costa said that both companies will engage in joint marketing initiatives in the Asia Pacific and European markets for promotional cruise campaigns. The campaigns are to be launched first in Australia and then in select markets in Europe in July and in Indonesia and India in 2008.

In a statement, the line said that the campaign will include heightening awareness of cruising as a desired travel option, joint mass-market advertising, product awareness seminars for travel industry partners and product brochures for consumers.

The Costa Allegra will begin 14-night cruises from Singapore on Nov. 3, the line said. It currently offers sailings from Singapore on the Costa Marina.
