Costa ships bypass Bahrain

Costa Cruises directed two of its ships to cancel port calls in Bahrain on Sunday and Monday, due to ongoing protests and riots.

The Costa Luminosa and the Costa Deliziosa, operating seven-day cruises from Dubai, each added one day in Muscat, Oman, rather than call in Bahrain.

In a statement, Costa said it "considers the safety of its guests and crew members as a key priority." The cancelled calls were to be the final visits to Bahrain this season for the two ships.
