In its second week of cruises, Norwegian Breakaway has raised the charge for its premier specialty restaurant, Ocean Blue, from $35 to $49 per person.
Norwegian CEO Kevin Sheehan said at a press conference during Breakaway's inaugural that it was undercharging for the restaurant developed by New York chef Geoffrey Zakarian, and suggested $99 would be an appropriate price.
Even at $49, it will be one of the most expensive charges for dining on a mass-market ship.
Norwegian said reservations made at the lower price will be honored.
