Cruise alliance creates digital sales guide

The Niche Cruise Marketing Alliance has developed a CD-ROM Sales Guide that replaces its paper guide.

The CD contains an introduction to niche cruising, a section on the benefits of becoming a niche cruise specialist and a section on why the niche cruising market is ideal for groups.

Also, for each of the alliance's eight member lines, the CD contains information such as photographs of vessels and destinations, target customers, travel agent policies (including commission structure, group policies and training programs), onboard amenities and pre- and postcruise programs.

Individual pages of the sales guide can be downloaded in PDF format. The CD is being distributed free of charge to participants in all of the alliance's live and on-line training programs as well as to existing Certified Niche Cruise Specialists.

Other travel agents may obtain copies for $10 each by contacting NCMA Executive Director Larry Dessler.

The alliance's member lines are American Cruise Lines, Cruceros Australis, Fred Olsen Cruise Lines, Galapagos Explorer II, Hurtigruten, Imperial River Cruises, Louis Cruises and Star Clippers.
