Carnival Cruise Lines unveiled the first renderings of the Carnival Dream, a 130,000-ton ship scheduled to debut on Sept. 21.

New ship images are available at Carnival's website.

The website includes images of the ship's Ocean Plaza, a new indoor/outdoor entertainment area; and "cove balcony" cabins, a new stateroom category located closer to the waterline than other balcony cabins.

Also, there are renderings of cabins designed to accommodate five passengers, making them suitable for families.

The Dream kicks off service with three 12-day Mediterranean cruises from Civitavecchia, Italy.
