Holland America Line is offering a University at Sea program on select itineraries in Alaska, the Caribbean, the Panama Canal, Hawaii and South America.

The classes are offered on a prebooked fee basis and are commissionable to agents at 10%. They include courses of professional continuing education for lawyers, doctors, nurses, accountants, financial planners, underwriters, architects and educators.

The program was developed in cooperation with Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Fla., and is operated by Continuing Education Inc. Cruise passengers who join University at Sea will have the opportunity to interact with speakers.

Fees for the offerings range from $99 to $359 for students receiving full continuing education credit and from $69 to $199 for those auditing the courses. Space in some of the courses is limited, and reservations for the courses should be made at least 60 days prior to sailing.
